  1. Andrew MacKay trusted by the people of Bracknell for such a long time, has finally done the right thing - resigned. What took him so long?

  2. It's such a shame, he's always worked so hard for Bracknell. I'm quite sad to see him go. It felt like we were in a safe pair of hands. Why are people so greedy?, i'm glad the government is having a major spring clean, it's still very unsettling.

  3. The government is not really having a spring clean - they are just recycling old rubbish. They are also trying to hand over expense management to a private company to bypass the freedom of information act for the future.

Andrew and his wife claimed for second homes - for this crime alone, both of them should serve at least 1 year in jail and donate the total amount claimed to a charity in Bracknell.

Andrew and his wife serving time in jail for their greedy claims does sound a bit extreme. The prisons are already full to bursting point, by putting them in jail could mean a murderer or rapist could be let out early. Now THAT would be bad...

I reckon they should pay the money back to the government, after all it is taxpayer's money, and not all taxpayer's will want the money to go to charity i.e. the money could be used elsewhere, like a school or hospital.

I just hope that MP's don't make greedy claims under this new private company that'll be handling expenses.
